What drives the price of a vintage Carhartt piece?
Model first, then condition, age and colour. Blanket-lined jackets sit at the top, hooded Active Jacs next, then double knees, chore coats, carpenters, shorts and tees. USA-made and Union Made add a premium; so does a well-faded Carhartt brown. Damage, missing hardware and bad stains pull a piece down fast.
What does a Detroit jacket cost?
Sold as found on resale platforms, clean vintage Detroits generally sit well above a hundred US dollars and climb with early labels, rare colours and perfect fade; rough examples sell for much less. Our reworked Detroits are priced below the as-found market because we source at origin.
Active Jacs and chore coats?
Hooded Active Jacs typically a step below Detroits for equivalent condition, with camo and rare colours at a premium. Chore coats overlap with Detroits — fewer were made, but demand is narrower.
Pants and shorts?
Double knees in good condition are the most expensive Carhartt pants and have risen steadily; carpenters and plain work pants sit below them. Shorts are seasonal and cheaper. Denim versions follow the duck versions at a slight discount.
Tees and shirts?
K87 and K126 tees are the entry point to vintage Carhartt and are priced accordingly, with heather greys, rare colours and heavily faded blacks at the top. Henleys and thermals sit slightly above tees.
How does wholesale pricing compare?
Our bundles work out at a flat per-piece rate — £18 per piece at 20 pieces, falling to £13 at 1000 — across a mix of jackets, pants, shorts and tees. For a reseller that is far below the as-found retail prices above, which is where the margin comes from.
