Vintage Carhartt K87 Pocket T-Shirt

Older K87s used noticeably heavier cotton than current production, so they hold their shape and drape rather than clinging. Years of sun and washing produce uneven fades — a black that has gone charcoal, a navy that reads dusty blue — that cannot be replicated with a factory wash.

Black, navy and Carhartt brown are the volume colours. Army green, dark teal, steel blue and dusty purple appear far less often in vintage and sell fastest. Heavily sun-faded examples in any colour are the most sought after.

K87s are cut boxy and true to size, often wider than modern tees at the same label size. Many buyers size down one for a fitted look, or wear as-is for the boxy silhouette. Pit-to-pit and length measured flat on request.
