What goes in the title?
On eBay, every keyword a buyer might search, in order: Vintage Carhartt Detroit Jacket J97 Blanket Lined Brown Duck Made in USA Large. On Grailed, cleaner: Carhartt Detroit J97 — Faded Brown — USA. Both reward the model code.
Fixed price or auction?
Fixed price with best offer for most pieces — vintage sells over weeks, not days. Auction for genuinely rare items where competitive bidding helps, or to clear stock fast. Grailed is offer-based by design.
What about fees and shipping?
Both platforms take a meaningful cut, and eBay's managed payments add a payment fee. Build fees into the price. Ship tracked, state international options clearly, and weigh lined jackets before quoting — they are heavier than buyers expect.
How important are measurements?
