Air freight into Incheon runs 5–9 days for smaller lots; sea freight via Busan is cheaper per piece above 50 pieces but adds three to five weeks.
South Korea exempts personal imports under USD 150 from duty and VAT. Above that, 10% VAT applies plus customs duty on clothing (typically 13%). The recipient needs a Personal Customs Clearance Code, which the courier will request. Commercial bulk imports are declared separately. For bulk this is simpler than it sounds — one freight entry rather than many small parcels each attracting handling fees.
Seoul is one of the world's most fashion-forward vintage markets — Hongdae, Seongsu and Dongmyo flea market are full of American workwear, and Carhartt has cult status.
