Faded and washed blacks are more wearable than deadstock black — the fade has already happened, so what you see is what it stays. Charcoal undertones come through in daylight.

Duck carpenter shorts use the heavier canvas, so they hold a crisper shape and fade in sharper contrast than the plain canvas versions.
Condition — like new
Graded like new: clean throughout, structurally sound, no notable flaws. What patina there is came from light wear and washing rather than work. If you want vintage fabric weight without the marks, this is the grade to buy. How it fits and how to wear it
Cut long and roomy through the leg, sitting at or below the knee on most wearers. Waist measurements often come in under the tagged size after decades of washing. Summer wear that holds structure. Care
Wash cold and hang dry. If you have a raw hem it will fray about a centimetre then stabilise — that's normal and stops on its own.
