The black colourway

Era and identification

Duck-shell hooded jackets from the 1990s and early 2000s used 12oz canvas with quilted nylon lining. The tell is the label: square white with the C-hook on older pieces, rectangular on later production.

Condition — slightly worn

Graded slightly worn: visible use with even fade across the piece, nothing that affects how it wears. This is the sweet spot for most buyers — the fabric has already softened and the colour has settled, but it hasn't been worked to the point of repair. Priced at $99 against an original retail of $149 — 34% below new, for fabric weight and construction current production no longer matches.

Care

Wash cold and hang dry. Duck canvas softens with every wash but hot water and tumble drying will shrink it and stiffen the shell. Spot-clean where you can.
