The moss green colourway

Green colourways are the collector's alternative to brown. Moss, olive and army shades came in shorter runs, and sun exposure pushes them toward a dusty, faded tone that can't be reproduced.

Era and identification

Carhartt's hooded work jackets ran alongside the Active Jac line through the 1990s and 2000s. Older examples use heavier duck and a squarer label; the ribbed hem sits deeper and the hood is unlined or thermal rather than sherpa.

Condition — broken in

Graded broken in: real character. Marks, softened fabric, uneven fade and possibly honest repairs at stress points. This is the grade collectors actually want, because none of it can be faked and no two broken-in pieces look alike. Care
